Curly Willow

Curly Willows – Scarlet Curls, Golden Curls and Red Corkscrew

We offer a unique collection of curly willows featuring three beautiful varieties: Scarlet Curls (Salix × Scarcuzam), Golden Curls (Salix sepulcralis ‘Erythroflexuosa’) and Red Corkscrew Willow.

Scarlet Curls – Salix × Scarcuzam
Scarlet Curls is distinguished by its remarkable young branches, which emerge in vibrant orange-red tones before gradually developing into a golden yellow-orange hue. Its naturally twisted and curled branches add texture, movement and colour to both landscape plantings and floral arrangements. Preferring full sun and well-drained soils, it provides year-round visual interest.

Golden Curls – Salix sepulcralis ‘Erythroflexuosa’
Golden Curls is easily recognized by its bright golden-yellow branches, which develop into elegantly twisted and sinuous forms. Its colour is particularly striking in winter, when the branches stand out beautifully against the landscape. It thrives in sunny locations and moist but well-drained soils. Its branches are highly valued for floral arrangements, decorative projects and creative work.

Red Corkscrew Willow – Red-Branched Curly Willow
With its deeply twisted branches and vibrant red young stems, Red Corkscrew Willow is a true standout in the landscape. This fast-growing ornamental willow develops a remarkable architectural form that remains visually interesting throughout the year, particularly in winter when its red stems contrast beautifully with the snow.

In spring and summer, long, narrow green leaves emerge, giving the tree a light and graceful appearance. In autumn, the leaves fall away, fully revealing the willow’s twisted and sculptural branch structure.

The twisted branches are highly sought after for floral arrangements, seasonal décor, creative projects and landscaping. Whether planted as a specimen tree, incorporated into a naturalized landscape, or harvested for its decorative branches, Red Corkscrew Willow brings distinctive beauty to every season.

Each of these three curly willow varieties offers a unique combination of form, colour and texture, making them well suited for landscaping, floristry, decoration and creative projects.
